What is Creative Space and How Can it Support You?
Creative Space is creating space in a workshop / group environment to explore ourselves in relationship with others, using methods from psychodrama, drama therapy and art therapy. This Space for Change is designed to activate greater depth connections between individuals. The workshops take place locally in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, UK. Jill and Kate worked together from 2000 until her retirement in 2009. Kate died in January 2010 but the work that she began continues and this service continues to operate. Work is fluid within a well-structured agenda, creating both safety and space to move, to experiment, discover new ways of being. If you require more information about dates etc. for workshops please contact us.
What is on offer?
In workshops a person orientates themselves within the context of their personal and social environment, creatively connecting with their body, emotions and mind. A person’s strengths are enhanced and areas requiring growth are indicated in a non-judgmental way. Engaging with the body process encourages self-understanding rather than head knowledge alone. Part of ongoing work involves supervision/teaching/mentoring and training students and counsellors who attend/work for Halifax College and The University of Huddersfield.
Creative Space Relationship Workshops offers an opportunity to explore what is happening in your everyday close relationships, past and present, whether in the family, friends, or at work. By focusing on the contact-boundary, using creative methods, members can safely explore themselves in relationship with others. This strengthens and enhances the core sense of “I am”. Potentially this time will be a life-changing experience.
