Therapy Groups and Workshops
These are designed to activate greater depth connections between individuals and couples, all workshops/groups are offered as taster days or evenings with the opportunity for further sessions and the possibility of forming a flexible, secure network group. By being part of this “creative space” there is the potential to meet others without the personal baggage that so hampers ordinary relationships.
All aspects of relationships can be explored
- The inter-personal — what goes on between you and others
- How you relate to yourself — what you say to yourself about who you are
- How you view the past, present and future on a meta level
- Being able to speak out what seems unspeakable.
Workshops are created to suit the unique needs of each group. Groups are formed for individuals and/or couples, with a flexible structure.
Three types of group:
- Couples Exploring Intimacy: managing difference
- Individuals day workshop Assertiveness Awareness and effective communication
- Individuals evening group Rebuilding relationship for the future
There is a choice of joining a mixed gender or single sex group. Already formed is a long-term women’s survivors group which meets monthly. This has “open sessions” periodically for those interested in joining or becoming part of a new group.
