Code of Ethics

We abide by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists’ code of ethics. We are registered / accredited practitioners of that organisation:

  • Jill Dodsworth-Parker, ref. 543668

It is not possible to work with people under 18 yrs old on line, nor are we qualified to comment on medical / psychiatric conditions. Emergency situations cannot be dealt with through this service.

Any contact through phone or email is a strictly professional service although we would hope to present ourselves as genuine, caring people qualified and skilled in inter-personal dynamics.

The scope of what can be done through telephone or email contact has limitations, although there are benefits to those who wish for more anonymity or are unable to travel to see someone face-to-face.

Some brief notes on any contact made will be kept anonymously and may be presented to our supervisors in such a way that the person is not identified.

The only reason that confidentiality may be broken would be if there was a serious risk of harm to members of public.
